Valley Electronics was founded in Zollikon, Switzerland, by a physicist who wanted to help his wife understand her cycle. We're still in Zollikon. Still family-run. Still building one kind of device.
In 1986, Dr. Hubertus Rechberg was a physicist working on industrial sensors. His wife asked him a simple question: could he build her something that would tell her where she was in her cycle, without subjective interpretation, without strips, without guessing?
Forty years later, Valley Electronics still makes the device that was the answer to that question. The algorithm has been refined on millions of cycles. The sensor has gone through six iterations. The form factor has gotten smaller. The mission hasn't changed.
We're still in Zollikon. We're still family-run. We've never taken venture capital. We've never been acquired. We've never added a subscription tier.
Your cycle is not a SaaS. We don't believe in monthly fees for software to interpret your body. You pay once, you own the device, the companion app is free.
Lady-Comp keeps everything on the device. Daysy syncs to a Swiss-hosted, GDPR-protected backend. We never share, never sell, never let your data train someone else's algorithm.
We measure basal body temperature orally with research-grade precision because that's what the science says works. We don't dress it up with aesthetics that obscure how it actually functions.
Daysy is not contraception. Daysy isn't right for very irregular cycles or shift-work sleep. We say so up front. The honesty page lays it all out.
